The Pipe Trades Training Center Offers Classroom and Hands-On Training in the Following Areas:
Welding. Electric arc, metallic inert gas, and tungsten inert gas. High Purity and Ultra-Pure Piping Systems. For electronic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology processes.
Plastic Pipe Fusion. Butt, socket, bead and crevice-free, and infrared jointing.
Computer Lab and Computer Study Room. The basics of computer operation and computer-aided design, or CAD, drawing.
Computer Energy Management Systems. Setups, programming, wiring, and troubleshooting.
Mobile Clean Room. High-purity piping fabrication.
Compressor Rebuilding. Tear-down and rebuild units for refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Orbital Welding. Computerized welding for high purity and ultra-pure systems.
Mechanical Drawing. Plan reading, isometric and computerized drawing, and material take-off.
Industrial Controls. Pneumatic, electronic and fiber optics -- the latest technology.
Tech Cubes. Training aids to teach air conditioning and refrigeration electrical controls.
Back Flow Devices. Service, repair and certification of testers for these devices.
Steam Technology Lab. Working model for testing and troubleshooting steam and hydronic systems.
High-Bay. Ample area for working with forklift, scissorlift and scaffolding for special projects.
Air and Water Balancing Lab. The first facility of this kind in America.
Plumbing Lab. Installation, service and repair of plumbing fixtures.
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Labs. Installation, service, repair and refrigerant recovery and recycling certification.
Multimedia Library. The Training Center maintains a comprehensive library of research materials with interactive videotapes and slide programs, OSHA regulations, construction code books, technical manuals, and supplier catalogs.
